Volunteering at the Garden Railroad

Join the FGGR Volunteer Crew

The Fairplex Garden Railroad Volunteers consists of a dedicated group of men, women and young adults who volunteer many hours of their time to assist with the development and the year-round maintenance of the railroad.

If you enjoy gardening, model railroading, want to learn about the hobby of garden railroading, or just enjoy the companionship of a great group who share common interests—consider becoming a Fairplex Garden Railroad volunteer.

Participation is open to all adults over 18 years of age and to young adults 14 to 18 when the parent, grandparent, or legal guardian is a regular volunteer. This is not a club. Volunteering is making a commitment of your time and talents throughout the year on a monthly basis and during the L.A. County Fair in the month of September.

Due to the current health crisis the 2020 L.A. County Fair has been cancelled. The Garden Railroad will be closed as well and all scheduled events are cancelled for 2020. Please check back for updated information and some new videos from the 2019 Fair.
