We recently received very special donations from two of our volunteers.
Steve and Marian Dodge donated their USA Trains FEF-3 steam engine with 12 Arristo-Craft Union Pacific Passenger cars. Steve was one of the first people to purchase this engine in 2021 and we produced a video of it operating on our layout. This video can be seen on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaNNgMm2Cxg&t=60s. This is a highly detailed diecast model complete with sound, smoke and lights. Combined with the passenger cars, the train is a spectacular addition to our equipment and delights visitors whenever it is operating. We thank Steve and Marian for their wonderful donation.
Steve adds smoke to the engine before its run.
The FEF-3 pauses to take on passengers at the Pomona station.
Dave Stewart, who is our Operations Director, recently made a very, very generous cash donation to our Volunteer Group. Dave made the donation ( his second in 2 years) in memory of his mother, Betty. Betty visited our layout several times and our volunteers always made her feel at home. We thank Dave for his generous donation and will use it to support and enhance the layout. We know his mother would be proud to share in our exhibit.
