This year, our volunteer crew was invited to participate in Fairplex’s version of the Dia de los Muertos celebration. On Nnovember 2 we were happy to answer the request by the Programming Department to operate trains and let event visitors wander through the Garden Railroad and watch the trains. We had a very good turnout and everyone who visited was very appreciative. Our volunteers got a chance to operate and watch the trains at night and see our scale buildings lit up. Many ofrendas or altars were set up to welcome the spirits of the deal back to the living during this celebration. There were also cultural costumes and many custom cars and lowriders on display. Festive lighting provided an air of celebration. Thank you to every volunteer who helped!
