My last blog featured photos by our friend Jerry Shaw and the first on the list is our 100th Anniversary birthday cake. This display was intended to be displayed during the 2024 LA County Fair and we hoped that it would last the entire fair. Solid construction and meticulous track engineering however, allowed us to display the 6 levels of trains for the entire year after the fair and for the 2025 LACF as well. The trains ran flawlessly and thousands and thousands of visitors enjoyed them. The display still operates without problems but we feel that another display is in order, so before we can add a new exhibit, we have to remove the existing one. This means that the birthday cake has to go! Here are the highlights:
