Thanks to our contractor volunteer Mike Z, the TREX corporation donated hundreds of feet of TREX engineered materials, enough to replace nearly 200 feet of walkway. TREX also donated plenty of Hideaway fasteners so that no screws are showing. The result is a safe and attractive walkway which will last for many, many years. We are happy to participate in the celebration for the 100th anniversary of &#8216;The Mother Road&#8217;! When the theme for this years fair was announced, we decided to add a new area for guests to &#8216;Play Your Way&#8217;. In place of our 100th anniversary birthday cake, we have constructed a miniature Lionel train layout, similiar to one that a retailer would have in a store window during the holidays in the 1950s and 60s. Visitors and press buttons to hear sounds and activate accessories while watching the trains circle the layout.
